About Christy

Christy Bush is a mixed media artist rooted in fiber. Drawing inspiration from fiber artists and traditional techniques in textile-based craft, she works with fabric, thread, paper, photography, and found materials to explore connection, memory, change, and loss.

Her process begins with observations of her surroundings, personal experiences, and the people in her life. Through layering, cutting, stitching, and reworking, she brings images and materials together to reflect her perspective on the world around her.

Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, her practice moves between botanical imagery, portraiture, and explorations of relationships and the human experience.
